These were wonderful opportunities to teach peers and those who have been in the music education field much longer than the four of us. Although teaching large groups is exciting, nothing beats one-on-one lessons with a student. I have had and taught plenty of these lessons for several instruments including flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, french horn, euphonium, tuba, percussion, piano, guitar, and bass guitar. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami University in 2018 with a Bachelors of Music degree in Vocal Performance and a minor in Musical Theatre. I have had the chance to perform around the country in various ensembles, and attended the American Institute for Musical Studies in Graz, Austria studying in their Lieder Studio. At Miami, I performed in five operas, and performed in chamber and jazz ensembles. I also encourage the development of aural skills, rhythm, and note reading through games and listening assignments. I develop technique from the upper arm down, starting with muscles that are larger and easier to control. For adults, I cater my lessons and teaching to the needs of each student.
