Haeyoon is currently a part of the prestigious studio of Aldo Parisot at the Yale School of Music as she pursues her Artist Diploma. She is an avid chamber musician at Yale and in her community as an active member of several chamber groups. Her Yale piano trio has been selected to perform at the prestigious Vista Chamber Concert, after having been selected from several nominated groups throughout Yale. Recently they have also won the Chamber Music Competition held across all intrumentations and performed the Piano Trio in C Major by Johannes Brahms at the Winners Concert in May 2012. Read More

I like to give my students a mix of my required repertoire and songs that they have passions for. This keeps me restocking and updating my library, and helps the kids to have more fun in their lessons. It depends on what the student wants to learn. I am there for them. I do make recommendations such as teaching out of a Hal Leonard instructions books (for beginners) and or CD's Play along CD's. , Chord Theories, voicing s and improvisational techniques for the intermediate students ( i.e. basic blues) if they choose to. I also like for them to record their progress (such as picking a basic tune they have learned) if possible so they can get an idea of what they sound like as another recommendation. Read More

Drum for 2 students (one student was blind).   Performance - accompanying choirs and church (acoustic piano), marching band (trumpet and percussion), worship bands (acoustic drum set and synth), and orchestra (timpani and bells). I taught myself the trumpet and achieved first chair within the first 6 months of playing (our marching band performed in Canada to California besides many places in Washington).
