I prefer to emphasize skill-building and retention, and always want to make sure the student is enjoying the process. I prefer to set realistic short- and long-term goals for students at each lesson, and acknowledge their accomplishments with a system of rewards. I have been teaching piano for a year so far and it has been one of the highlights of my musical life. I love to find innovative and fun ways to make music theory and technique easier to understand for young minds. My #1 goal as a teacher is help students grow a passion for music, and equip them with tools to use for a future of music-making and music-enjoying.
