Young children get excited about games and movements easily, thus, I will include a lot of music interactive activities and games in my lesson to motivate their music learning. Furthermore, I believe that teaching must match to the students learning style, not learning match to the teachers teaching style. I teach beginning students both by rote and through reading. We use standard Suzuki books for repertoire and method books such as Wohlfahrt, Mazaz, and Sevcik. Very young students begin on Sassmanshaus since it is very engaging as well as well written.
