In 2011 I performed with the string orchestra as part of the 50/20 celebration in the British Embassy of Kuwait for the VIP guests, including Prince Charles Attendance (2011). I performed in the following school productions: ”The Phantom of the Opera” (2009) ,’’My Fair Lady’’(2010),” Blood Brothers” (2011), ’’Evita’’(2012),’’Jack and the Beanstalk’’ (2013),’’The Lion King’’ (2014). For students who are young children, I typically start by addressing the importance of playing what you hear. So, I will teach them beginner classics, such as Twinkle Twinkle and Merry had a Littl eLamb, but I also teach them what thunder sounds like, or a siren, and etc. by drawing on everyday life obejects that create noise. The methods that I normally use are the Alfred Basic Piano Library, and the Faber and Faber Piano Adventures. I also use technique books such as Fingerpower, Hanon, and Czerny. I always incorporate Music Theory in my lessons as well as improvisation. i am familiar with the Royal Conservatory of Music technical requirements and find them necessary to any student wanting to become proficient at piano/keyboard playing. I use may online worksheets for theory, improvisation and fun repertoire as well. i am open to the needs of the student but also have a structured method of teaching so that all aspects of the music learning process is followed.
