If I recommend a piece that the student does not enjoy playing or is too difficult for them, I will accommodate their choice and give them a piece that better suits the student. For non-beginning players, I will look at the pieces they are already playing, and assist them in skills that still need work on their piece. After the piece they are already working on is better, I will assign more pieces and studies that will not only help them with skills that need work, but also improve the skills they are already great with. My teaching style is very analytical yet engaging! I try to establish a good relationship before pushing a student. At that point I will ask the student to play to the best of his/her ability. I teach in a style that helps children isolate problem areas, so that they can practice specific excerpts they are struggling with. I started playing when I was 13 and have mastered several instruments since. My forte is electric bass guitar, although I can also teach electric guitar to an advanced level. I moved to LA to go to a very prestigious music school, Musicians Institute of Hollywood. I studied in the bass guitar program winning the top bass scholarship that is given out at the school, earning my A.A.
