I have taught several students while I was studying music. I won the third place of the Taipei City Competition of Music among many outstanding competitors in 2015. On the other hand, I strived for the chance of participating in many performances. In 2014, I performed Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85 with the local orchestra in Hualien. My process is based on (but does not adhere strictly to) the Classical approach to Western tonal harmony and asks that the students develop certain fundamentals of technique and theory.  In my experience, this structure creates the strongest foundation for pupils to build the rest of their musical lives on, whether professionally or solely for personal enjoyment.  All of my students are on the fast track to studying music theory. Motivation can be the biggest issue for the students. There is always a boredom element when practicing the same thing over and over again; so i like to add some spontaneity and life to practice sessions. I'll slide in an improvised solo while the student is strumming chords or teach the student little melodies within the scale. and I'll end the sessions playing through an entire song or exercise with the volume cranked up! Being in the studio and creating songs had me pick up the piano, ukulele, and bass guitar which I then took on as instruments I teach. My teaching style is to be sensitive to each student. Each person has a different relationship and understanding of music. I try to identify and accommodate the ways in which the student learns best. Some students need explicit instruction and to be pushed, others need gentle guidance with time and space to work things out for themselves. He has worked with numerous acclaimed performers and voice teachers including Laurel Miller, Lella Cuberli, Richard Croft, Dr. Stephen Morscheck and Dr. Stephen Austin.
