For beginning students who are children I use varying method books such as Faber, Bastian, Leonard etc. These method books do a wonderful job of progressing the student naturally and gradually which is my style of teaching. Once the student shows understanding and mastery of the basic fundamentals taught in these books, the level of advancement grows and solo pieces will be chosen that best help the Student progress musically and technically. For students that are just starting, I love using Bastien Piano Basic books and Alfred's Basic Piano library! These both have great selections and have all different levels to meet the student's needs. After the student moves out of these basic piano books, we can start working on learning songs and developing some solo pieces for their repertoire. For adults that are learning piano, I leave a lot up to the student because most of the time they already have something in mind that they would like to learn or work their way up to learning a particular piece. I have been teaching since 2017. I started off with private lessons in St. Augustine, FL, then proceeded to join the Community School of Music at Stetson University as a Student Teacher in 2017. After graduating from Stetson in 2019, I stayed and taught as a Faculty Teacher at the Community School of Music, having more students. During my tenure, I taught students from four to 85 years old. When I went to get my graduate studies, I taught private lessons online and in person. Read More

I have taught music classes (choir, music theory, hand bells, recorders, and general music) for Kindergarten-10th grade for seven years, and I have taught private music lessons for over 10 years. I have taught students as young as five years old, and I've had students well into their retirement years as well. Everyone can enjoy learning about music; that's what makes music so unique and amazing. My highest goal is to inspire my students to love music, practice well, and perform to the best of their ability. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Violin Cello Viola
I like to use a common sense approach with a foundation in music theory to develop the whole musician. I will encourage note reading but will give harmonic context for the singer or keyboardist looking to improve versatility. Read More

I teach using Alfred's Basic Lesson Book series for sight-read pieces and Fingerpower exercise books for technique. All students are also welcome to bring music they would like to learn (movie pieces, pop songs etc.) to help enhance their learning and performance experience. Read More
Instruments: Piano
I begin all students with the appropiate level of the Alfred's method. If they have had training with another method, I work to blend that method with the Alfred's method during the first month or two of lessons. Once the student has learned the fundamentals, I introduce them to the solo repertoire appropriate for their level and their genre of greatest interest to them. I hold a recital once a year to give students experience in performance. Read More
