Dr. Yunhee K. taught piano for over 15 years across diverse settings. Most recently, she served as Assistant Professor of Music at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, teaching applied music lessons, class piano, and online music appreciation while also serving as a collaborative pianist for choirs, student recitals, and faculty performances. My passion for teaching has extended into my graduate studies, where I focused on piano pedagogy. I like to see where the student is at level wise and take it from there. Example : if the student has never played before, we will start with how to hold the sticks. If there at level three but haven't touched 16th note triplets and go from there. In my piano lesson, I teach my student theory, sight-reading, aural skill, playing scales, and playing pieces from different time periods. Student will excel in piano study provided they practice consistently with the right attitude and mindset.
