Hello, I am currently Artist Diploma voice student at Cleveland Institute of Music. I had my Bachelor in Shanghai Conservatory of Music. I studied piano for over 10 years. I always did some accompaniment in China. I taught piano in China and in Cleveland and voice at CSA. I performed in many operas at school also with opera company. I began teaching in 1999 and have maintained a private studio since then while also working for various music schools and after-school music programs. I've worked with students from ages 5 to 75 and have found that students are very receptive to my energetic and engaging personality while being reassured by my ease of communication and patience. 1980 - Present- Provide private piano lessons to children and adults; lessons include music theory as well as instrumental practice. Students participated and awarded on state and federal festivals and competitions. If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. For the youngest beginners, my focus is on the enjoyment of music. Using either The Music Tree or My First Piano Adventures, I teach children about the elements of music and how to appreciate music, before going into actual technical work on the piano. I primarily teach with The Music Tree (Frances Clark's method) and supplement with pieces from other method books, and prepare children for recitals and performances in the future. Read More

I got my Bachelors in music performance on cello, but I started on piano and violin when I was six years old.
