I love to teach students of all ages. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

I believe on an emphasis of performance over theory; learning to make a kinesthetic connection with your instrument is most important in developing both a good sound and adequate technique. The value of a good warm-up is most important in establishing a successful practice routine. We are all pressed for time, so I help students focus on the most important elements of breath control, embouchure and articulation at the same time that they are acquiring technical facility through the logical development of scales and arpeggios. My style is to create a stress-free environment. Making music is fun and fulfilling and I make sure the student gets to experience that for themselves. I am very flexible with my approach. If I notice a student hates to read music, then we will practice learning by ear, or vice versa. If I notice my student is writing his or her own songs, then I foster that by teaching composition. I strive to have each student grow their passion and love for music. To remain curious and fearless in trying new things. I enjoy working with students to set goals such as - performing in a recital, auditioning for a production or competition, for singing and playing music they never thought they would be able to. I create a friendly judgment free learning environment. I do expect a student to be committed to their lessons and practice, but build this with care and compassion. Read More

I started piano lessons at the age of 7 (I am now 45) and have never started being involved in music in one way or another ever since. It is both my passion and my career. My passion for music means that I am always learning more about it and working to improve. My career in music has led me on travels around the world; I have played in Rome, Switzerland, Spain, Ecuador, Argentina, and all over the USA. Read More

As a lover of multiple genres of music, I aim to improve technique, versatility, and musicianship with my teaching. I recently graduated Cum Laude from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Music Business. During my time in school, I performed throughout the Boston area at venues such as the Middle East and the Berklee Performance Center. After graduating, I was able to tour through parts of New England and perform at venues ranging from small night clubs to large festivals, including the Mud Run Rock Gods Tribute Festival in Howland, Maine. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I like to go slow at first and see how things go lesson by lesson. I never like to challenge my students too much in the beginning because it can be rather frustrating to continue learning music. I also believe theory is very important and will ALWAYS include this in my teaching. Read More
