My teaching style is best referred to as a facilitator. Essentially, I promote self-learning, helping students develop critical thinking skills and retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization. I prefer to guide students by letting them think for themselves, pointing out when mistakes are made but also encouraging them to learn and grow from them. I have given performances throughout Japan, as well as solo and chamber appearances in Boston and Salzburg. Once the students reach a certain level, for example when they finish the level 3a of Piano Adventure, I start to add Hanon, Czerny, and Sonatina in turn, and prepare them to play in competition.
