With intermediate musicians, I tend to seek out anything of interet to the student while incorporating harder repertoire to strengthen musicianship and to continue to peek interest in music. The great thing about one on one teaching is each of my students get individual time with me versus being in a band class with lots of other students. However, if students have another book for a school band class, I am more then happy to work with them to preserve some line of consistency in the students education.
