Also gave lessons in a local Music store which was quite rewarding as well. At times, I would play some duets with the students which gave them a feeling of accomplishment and joy for their instrument. However, if the student or parent has another book they feel would be better for their growth, I am always open to suggestions. My teaching includes all aspects of music; Musical theory, sight singing, as well as Music History. My teaching style allows the child to have fun while they learn their instrument, but I emphasize a strong practice regiment. Your child will understand that while learning music and an instrument can be fun, there will be some work involved if they want to become great. At Yale, I became a Teaching Artist in 2015 and gave private lessons to Yale Undergraduate students.
