My name is Shafer and I just moved from the East Coast this summer. I grew up in the Baltimore area and went attended Temple University in Philadelphia to obtain my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. I continued to live and teach in Title 1 schools for the next 2 years upon my graduation. I also have been a member of the Army Reserve since 2012. I have also worked with a contemporary community music school in San Diego with a "Rock" Focus, working with elementary and middle school drummers, vocalists, guitarists and pianists to form their own bands.Currently, in addition to teaching privately, I am an Arts Department Substitute Teacher for La Jolla Country Day School, working with both their band and orchestra programs in the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools.
