Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching marching band eight years ago. After graduating from Tarleton State University in 2014, I began teaching at the junior high and high school levels. In between teaching classes I would help students after school with working on their music for class as well as encouraging students to push themselves with more challenging literature.
