Together we will create a custom approach so that you will love the experience of playing the music you love.  I will share fun and efficient ways to practice so that you get immediate results. Though I was never paid for this work, as I was just fine doing it for free, I learned much about effective and ineffective ways of communication in teaching. For beginning students, I start with a basic method book. Most often, they are enrolled in school band already and I am happy to use whatever method books their teacher uses. Otherwise, I start with the Rubank elementary method for trumpet and cornet. We incorporate music-making (simple songs and tunes) from the very beginning.
