I was brought up with the Suzuki method. Therefore, I do use that as my main method to teach. However, since the start of my experience as a teacher, I have learned new methods of teaching. As a result, I am very open to different teaching methods. My preferred method is Suzuki. I also want to know that students are enjoying playing and practicing their instrument. I have been teaching for about 6 years and truly love it. I have taught students from ages 6-18, both privately and in group classes. I am open to teaching all ages. Scales, arpeggios, etudes and other exercises are an important part of daily practice, reinforced by weekly technique classes. I began playing cello in elementary school and started teaching cello lessons while I was in middle school. I love to teach and share music with my students. I graduated Manhattan School of Music in 1977  and proceeded to get my Masters degree and teaching certificate.
