I have used a variety of books with my students, but generally start students with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. I use a mix of books (note reading), ear training, and musical games (depending on age) in lessons. I like to offer students a variety of learning styles, in order to find the one that best suits them. My music studies began at the age of five, and I have been playing the violin and viola for over twenty years now. I have about ten years of voice instruction, piano lessons, and guitar experience. My teaching experience dates back to high school beginning with only a small number of students, and have continued to teach lessons for eleven years.
