Celebrating 20 years of teaching violin, I’m excited to open my studio to the Musika community. I have extensive experience in the traditions of Joseph Joachim, Jascha Brodsky, Ivan Galamian, and Dorothy DeLay. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance studying under renowned violinist Alice Schoenfeld. My studies at USC focused heavily on solo, chamber, and orchestral work -- my performances included live radio, solo engagements, and appearances with leading orchestras. Read More

I have taught violin since the year 2011. My students have primarily been between the ages of 10-16 with the exception of one student being in her 40's. I have taught beginners to advanced beginners, and most of my students have to this point hired me to train for a particular upcoming audition. I taught students from youngest age 6 to oldest age 16. I participated in orchestras as a principal violist, and few festivals in England and Germany. While I was participating Edinberg festival In U.K, I had chance to share my music with young musicians and people. In the U.S I was in American Youth Symphony orchestra, I performed Philip Glass's orchestral piece, and film music at Royce Hall In UCLA. Read More

For 3-5 year olds on piano I use Wunderkeys and supplement with Bastien Music Tree and music I have written when note reading is introduced. Usually I continue into Faber and Faber but Wunderkeys is adding more method books for beginners 5+ and I may start using that once it is available for purchase. I highly encourage theory and incorporate it into lessons when time. I have use Three Cranky Women theory books and Julie McIntosh Johnson Theory. Read More

I graduated from the renowned Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music Conservatory Performing Arts Bachelor Program in Istanbul/Turkey. After my graduation, I studied Sound Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I have worked on projects, from performances studio recording sessions to podcasting, and sound for films. For beginning piano students, I love using Alfred lesson books. I like focusing on scales and using proper technique. For violin, I like using Suzuki, but I dont use Suzuki method. Focus is on scales and simple solo rep. I encourage composition at all ages and love finding a system that works for the individual student. Regular practice is encouraged. I am big on positive reinforcement and will be my students biggest cheerleader, even when I need to get firm about techniques. Read More
