Then I take the things I don't like about the method and disregard them (pre-established repetoire, no composition or improv). Having been a product of a school orchestra myself, I will use a more traditional teaching approach. Shortly after immigrating to the United States I joined the teaching staff of the Notre Dame School of Music,where I served as a violin teacher for 5 years.
