I am a professional violinist and instructor with experience teaching students of all ages. I graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit in 2014 completing my Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Violin Performance. During my education, I was selected to be a String Project Instructor, a 4 year teaching internship for violin and orchestra classes. For beginner piano students I use Alfred's books, which has different beginner levels for different ages. At first I perform my first lesson, where I decide which beginner book will much with the student, then I recommend an appropriate book for them. I also don't mind at all another company of books if they prefer so. For beginner violin students I recommend String builder or Essential elements books. They both are good skill building books. As soon as I meet with a student or a group of students, I make sure they are welcomed by an energetic teacher before getting started on their lesson. I try to keep the student(s) engaged by showing them different ways and approaches to music from books and my own personal approaches to help them grow knowing their teacher is well experienced. Since their is a lot for a percussionist than just playing with sticks on a drum, there is no doubt that the endless possibilities in teaching students the various instruments will help keep them engaged as well being more excited about music. When receiving a student I first like to get to know the student by friending them. Asking question as to what their likes are and just getting to know them. For the beginner we start of with a Method book that fits their age and personaity and go from there. I am teaching the students by wide range from beginners to most advanced. I use Suzuki method combined with traditional teaching materials and traditional teaching methods for advanced students. For younger students, I mainly use Suzuki teaching method, combined with etudes, like Alwin Schroeder's 170 Foundation Studies. Teaching all age group students with scales as well. For older or advanced students, I teach mainly with traditional method, etudes, like Dotzauer, Franchomme, Merk, Kummer, Gruetzmacher, Piatti and Popper etc. Read More

I loved to teach students on playing violin and piano. I enjoy working with my students at my home studio. The experience that I teach is to learn the parts of the music instrument. The students were sometimes understand the music about the notes, parts of the methods and working on the rhythm.
