I am a committed and caring teacher and performer who is extremely dedicated to my passion for making and sharing music. This past summer, I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a first class honors masters degree in violin performance, from where I also received my undergraduate and teaching degrees. I have had the tremendous opportunity to tour and perform all over the world with numerous orchestras and chamber groups since 2010, eventually establishing a base in London in 2014, where I have been teaching violin, piano, music theory and harmony to a wide range of students ever since. I believe that music is a universal creative outlet for expression no matter one's age, background, or level. I have been a part of a variety of different youth orchestras growing up and this constant exposure to working with my peers have allowed me to develop strong skills in teamwork and communication. I always enjoyed performing, yet I fell in love with teaching very early, at the age of sixteen. A professor asked me to give a lesson to a fellow student of mine. A week after, the teacher called, saying that she could not recognize her student’s playing. The feeling of being able to make an impact was sensational. Teaching immediately became a crucial part of my professional activities. My love for teaching began as a peer tutor in college. I tutored students in piano, guitar, bass ear training, and music theory. I began to love teaching when I noticed the change and progress it creates within people. While in college, I taught at a musical theatre camp as a music teacher. I taught music theory, ear training, and vocal music. Right after I graduated college I was accepted into the music education program at Teachers College Columbia University where I received my masters degree in music education along with certification in New York state to teach Pre-K through 12.
