I am an avid performer and teacher in the Los Angeles area. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I attended Westmont College, University of Denver, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. My former teacher, Andrea Byers, studied with world renown, Ivan Galamian. I received my bachelor's with an emphasis in music education. My approach to learning an instruments is to have the students learn to play by ear first before they can start learning to read music. I find that most students are able to progress quickly because it frees them to focus on the playing the instruments rather than reading notes.
