I am a teacher dedicated to sharing my love and knowledge of music and the violin. In May 2014, I graduated from the Baldwin Wallace conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. Since graduation, I have performed with multiple orchestras such as the Springfield Symphony Orchestra (Ohio), Richmond Symphony Orchestra (Indiana), the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, the Ohio Valley Symphony, and the Middletown Symphony (Ohio). I began teaching privately as a high school student, working with begnning students at the middle school. I have taught privately in my home and in students' homes since graduating from college. Regular practice is very important and something I emphasize with my students. I like to include a mixture of classical and modern music in my lessons, so that students enjoy what they are learning and playing. If a student does not enjoy their time playing their instrument, they will not want to put the practice in and lessons will become a point of argument.  Read More

What’s important is to strike a balance of activities that works for the student, engaging their desire to learn while giving them the structure necessary for success. For example, many students want to learn their favorite pop song or the latest hit from their favorite movie. I started teaching private lessons when I was in high school and continued throughout my time in college and beyond. I have taught beginners of all ages as well as more advanced students, and have led group classes. I bring all my love for music to the lesson, and practice empathy and kindness with my students.
