In 2006, I began my orchestral career at the age of 18 with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. I will always remember the feelings of inspiration, anxiousness, and joy when he walked into the concert hall the first time. Since then, I have enjoyed performing in many orchestras including the Kinnor Philharmonic, the Southeast Kansas Symphony, the Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra, and the Topeka Symphony. Recently I have begun performing with SoNA, the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kansas City Baroque Consortium, and the Arkansas Symphony. Read More

The ultimate goal for my teaching is to cultivate students' passion for music and their musical talents. I strongly believe that every individual student is different in terms of background, personality, and learning progress. My teaching approach is completely student-oriented, aiming to develop their musical skills and characters as unique individuals. I include step-by-step challenges into my lessons that are just challenging enough to keep my students feel accomplished without frustrations. Read More

I adjust my teaching style to compliment each student individually. My goal is for each student to enjoy playing their instrument, but I believe that the personal improvement of each student is vital for their continued interest and passion. I take it upon myself to make sure that my teaching is resulting in personal enjoyment and improvement! I also believe that studying a musical instrument is useful for developing things like problem solving skills, perseverance, building good habits, having a good work ethic, and being responsible. For Viola and Violin:Suzuki. There is a small amount of leewayI allot for those students who are exemptional. These booksoffer easy ways for begining students to learn the rudiments and mechanics of their particular instrument.Once progression is being made in the development of rudiments and mechanics, I start to incorporate solo works to spice up the learning experience. I'm following traditions of a famous Russian school. I have very strong technical training and musical abilities. “To understand, and to cause to be understood" – these words sum up the end and aim of my style.” Until we understand the music, we’ll not succeed at playing it so that others also understand it. With time, we learn more and better ways to communicate musical ideas. I expand our understanding of what is possible, and I find more of the subtle subtexts and interplay within the music. Read More

The experience I had started with was a community center in an underprivileged area of Kansas city in 1973 as a Senior in High School and extended to many retail establishments of the Kansas city metro and beyond. I have also taught private lessons in my residence and in homes of many students during the pandemic. For nearly 20 years I have taught all ages at the Kansas city strings in Merriam Kansas as independently contracted teacher. Read More

While there are certain etudes that I give to many of my students such as Schradieck, Sevcik, Kreutzer, Rode, and Dont, I do not go by any particular violin "method" in my lessons. Rather, my lessons are catered to each student's individual differences and characteristics. Every student has his/her strength and weakness, and they are not always the same among the students. I carefully look at what needs most attention on each student, and come up with the best approach that I could think of based on my knowledge and experience as a violinist and teacher, so the student can overcome the difficulty in the most efficient manner.
