My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in various studios since then. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I am a creative and focused violin instructor specializing in classical to contemporary orchestral music. I graduated from Drexel University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I have been playing the violin for almost 20 years, starting from my Kindergarten music lessons all the way to sitting as Concert Master for the Drexel University Symphony Orchestra. In highschool I worked with a music mentoring program.  I would travel to local elementary schools and teach children from 2nd to 4th grade violin in small groups.  This cultivated my love of teaching.  Though in college I never had the opportunity to teach privately due to my busy schedule, during breaks I would often give masterclass style lessons to students of my former teacher Michael Bandimere when they were preparing for performances or auditions. My teaching experience dates back to my undergraduate where I would teach and mentor incoming freshman placed in our studio. During the summers I would teach locally and fill in for past mentors who were on tour. This allowed me the fortune of teaching both beginners and advanced students. I strongly recommend consistent practice as I firmly believe an hour a day far out performs 5-7 on one day. A students growth is mostly contributed to ones own passion and discipline however as long as the student is willing to learn, then I am willing to help nurture their devotion and maturity to allow them to become as good of a instrumentalist that they wish to become. I like to get to know my students well so I know how to keep the lessons exciting and enjoyable. Everybody learns at a different pace and that is good! Each success is worth celebrating and the way to get there is by setting realistic goals. I always offer yearly recitals for any students who would enjoy being a part of them.
