Besides scales, etudes, and pieces, I want to encourage my students to come to me with any questions about the music they are playing in their school music classes, orchestras, theory questions, and help with any technical instrument issues, like tuning, fixing strings, finding a good shoulder rest, how to rosin your bow and how much to tighten it. I started teaching over ten years ago. I have taught several amazing violin and piano students ages 4-16 over the years. In my experience, I've found that the Suzuki Violin method books work very well for private lessons but can teach other methods. I have a degree in violin performance and play the piano as well.
