The student will have the choice to decide the music that he/she would like to learn to play. My aim is to teach the student all the tools he/she will require to play and enjoy their instrument. My aim is also to make the student independent by introducing him to resources where he can find music to study or learn at his own pace. This is the start of a lifelong love and relationship with your instrument and I would like to make it a part of their reality. Read More
Instruments: Voice Violin Viola Fiddle
I usually begin with the Suzuki method for both children and adults, and once the student has a good command of fundamental violin technique, we progress in the style of the student's primary interest. I am very open to teaching a variety of styles, and can put together a detailed lesson plan for any direction the student may choose. In the event that the student is primarily focused on areas other than the classical repertoire, I definitely begin with Mark O'Connor's violin method that is specifically designed for students interested in traditional folk and fiddle music. Teaching has always been part of my growth through various stages in my career. Through out high school I have coached and taught at various churches by strengthening their worship teams as well as several middle school singers at my home studio that were preparing for their Region auditions along with their solo and ensemble competitions. I enjoy watching younger generations fall in love with the art of music and continuously reach out to expand their talent and strengthen their craft. Read More

I meet the student where they are, intuiting their desires, fears, and needs. I believe the process of learning involves a step-by-step building of knowledge and skill, reinforcing previous accomplishments in order to be prepared for new developments. Therefore I create a plan for each lesson with specific goals of student achievement. At times however, even the most carefully prepared lesson can evolve into unexpected pathways. In that case I remain flexible and attuned to the present situation, providing guidance and encouragement to explore that which opens before us. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Drums Latin Percussion Keyboard Djembe
There are many books on drums and piano or voice. I have to get to know the student to determine what I will use to get better results. It will depend on their age and attitude and initial talent. Also, a lot of kids are busy at school and don't have much time for practice. It means I need to get a lot done during the actual lesson and make sure that the info I m giving is settling in and there are no gray areas and questions of what to do until next lesson. Read More

My name is Aaron, and I am a recent graduate from East Texas Baptist University. I studied Sacred Music and English Composition, and I graduated with my B.A. in 2017. My primary instrument was guitar, and my secondary instrument was voice, both of which I have now been doing for almost ten years. While I studied classical style at University, I have done a wide range of genres outside of school including metal, indie acoustic, and folk rock. Read More
