Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for singing! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I try to set realistic goals for my students at each lesson. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs!I encourage my students to practice at least 15 minutes per day and I continually each student new materials to practice( which is age appropriate.) I believe the most improvement in a student comes from practice time, so my goal as a teacher is to show the student how to practice most effectively by applying what they learned in their lessons in their practice sessions. Then I will listen to a student's voice and determine their range and pick out a solo song based on their range, ability level, and the preferences of the student. The student will learn how to properly excersize the correct muscles when singing, and then will vocalize with the piano. We must start with pitch!
