I grew up singing in the children's choruses of The Metropolitan Opera and NYC Opera, dancing at The School of American Ballet in The Julliard School at Lincoln Center. I earned a college preparatory diploma from The Manhattan School of Music and went on to earn my BM and MM at Westminster Choir College (a world renowned choral conservatory in Princeton, NJ). After that I moved back to NYC where I maintained a wonderful studio of singers and some pianists for about five years. 6 years ago I moved out to New Haven where I have made my home. Read More

I believe that students learn by DOING, so I bring my microphone to every lesson to give them that hands on experience. I plan on having multiple recitals throughout the year so students can experience singing solo as well as in group settings. I also love to challenge my students with new songs and fun exercises weekly, making sure we are seeing that personal growth as we progress. In voice, I let my students' goals guide their lessons. Whether it be stage performance, studio recording or personal satisfaction, I will use a variety of techniques to help them reach their individual goals. In violin and viola, I teach the Suzuki method combined with some contemporary and fun improvisation. I teach theory, but also how to communicate with musicians in general.
