My teaching experience started 8 years ago, when I began teaching private lessons part time while studying. Since 2006, I have been consistantly teaching students in my home studio as well as in several music schools. I taught novices as well as professional actors. I believe that students learn by DOING, so I bring my microphone to every lesson to give them that hands on experience. I plan on having multiple recitals throughout the year so students can experience singing solo as well as in group settings. I also love to challenge my students with new songs and fun exercises weekly, making sure we are seeing that personal growth as we progress. I give my students things to practice weekly by sending them videos of exercises or songs (all super fun of course) to learn before we meet. Read More

My methods are pretty straight forward. I focus heavily on technique. A good foundation can help a student be their best in each genre. I personalize my lesson plans and drills to accommodate the student's strengths, weaknesses, and over all goal. I will push you to your limits so you can go even further than you thought you could. My teaching style is based around health-promoting vocal exercises and exploration which serve to build the voice in all areas. Increased strength and flexibility in the voice work for us in any style and ultimately give us the freedom to express ourselves with greater ease. I strive for wellness in the voice and does not push people to sing in ways that create pain or stress. My teaching has enabled me to work with young musicians of all ages and skill types. The approach I take is technique driven, while at the same time, expressive, musically sensitive, and fun! Voice students will learn English and foreign language diction, ear training and sight-singing, proper posture, stage presence, confidence, and healthy vocal production suitable for all styles of singing. Drum students will learn the importance of snare drum rudiments, how to read drum charts, the nuances of various styles, as well as, develop dexterity and increase muscular function and independence. To me the most important thing to establish is a true, personal connection with my students. I like to know what activities other than music they enjoy, what their favorite/least favorite subject is in school, what they want to be when they grow up, what motivates them and what doesn't.
