My goal is to build music enthusiasts with a foundation that can span a lifetime. I began teaching one on one lessons with the vision of creating a supportive teaching space where students can work toward finding their inner voice and developing their musical expression.  My piano and voice students range greatly in age, experience and their motivations to learn including natural born performers, shy beginners, recreational and professional musicians.  I also coach professional public speakers on projection of voice.  In all cases, I caringly create goal-oriented curriculums, tailored specifically to each student’s learning objectives.  My centered and whole approach to singing, speaking and playing allows my students to organically find their own voice through supported breath and air flow.  I nurture each student’s ability to self-express while developing technical skill, music theory and musicality. Nothing is more important than the student enjoying themselves. I want to encourage my students' passion for music by allowing them to learn at their own pace. I believe in encouragement and positive reinforcement, I will never discourage a student to study music. Music is for everyone and should never be considered out of reach for anyone. All students in my music program are introduced to the Quality Music Instruction Curriculum. The books in this curriculum, allow each student to advance at his/her own pace while maintaining consistent progress. In addition to the Quality Music Instruction Curriculum, lessons are supplemented with the Bastien series. I then ask them to perform anything of their choice to assess their ability level (if applicable). After that, I tell them what immediately needs to be addressed and how this will work with their longterm goal.
