I have been inspired with music since the age of 10. My dad was a big influence being profession jazz guitarist himself. He taught me so much about the guitar and other instruments. This influence has led me to be the teacher as well with guitar, bass, piano, drums and voice, which I have been doing during these years of teaching. I've taught voice at Northwest University for the past 5 years. In 2010, I joined the faculty of the Bellevue School of Music, and last fall began teaching at the Gene Nastri Community School of the Arts in Mukilteo. I also conduct a church choir. I believe strongly that it is important for anyone who sings to study classical technique, regardless of what style of singing they wish to do. I have taught with organizations such as 4/4 School of Music, Illumination Learning Studio, TakeLessons.com, Treehouse, and Music & Arts (where I led a string workshop in 2018). For my Master's thesis, I conducted a research study on improving minority representation in classical music education, which was published via Medium. I continue to evaluate music-related independent studies for Antioch University students, writing narrative evaluations to be included on their transcripts. In addition to my career, I currently serves as a Case Manager for the Youth Re-Engagement Program at Everett Community College, where I help young adults navigate the paths to their own dream careers. I graduated from University of Montana with a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance. I have performed in a variety of settings including symphonies, operas, jazz ensembles, choirs, and rock bands.
