I am a student of Life. I have been classically trained on Piano since I can remember; music is in my BLOOD! My father plays every instrument known to man (and I mean that), has written, composed, and performed in Carnegie Hall. I had the knowledge and know how of music first hand as a gift from one of the most talented musicians I have heard; with the pedigree to match because I am his son. Read More

My approach to teaching emphasizes the importance of patience and forming building blocks that will take the student to where they want to go, over time. I like to encourage my students by focusing on small victories that happen in each lesson so that they are inspired to accomplish more and more as our lessons continue. I have a friendly, no-pressure approach to teaching and I want my students to feel as comfortable as possible not only to be amazing singers and performers, but to also be equipped accordingly to handle snags or setbacks that may happen along the way. I started teaching piano and voice lessons quite recently within the last year. I have had the rewarding experience of watching these young people learn and grow and discover more of their self confidence in performance as well as in life. I think a key point for any teacher is to be patient. The more relaxed you are the more at ease your students will be. It is important to be patient with yourself as the teacher in addition to being very patient with the student. Read More

Singing lessons should always be fun and positive. A student should come out of a voice lesson with new knowledge that they can then go and apply during their practice at home. I am a firm believer that most of the learning is done outside the lesson through the student's application of what he/she learned during the lesson. My belief is that I am a guide to the student, but the student must meet me halfway, so that we can learn from each other, work together, and find what works best for the student's voice. Read More

I never assume a student cannot succeed. Progress comes quickly with a variety of songs supported by successive exercises and methodology. Parental involvement is highly recommended and I try to work with parents to determine motivational techniques. I have found that students need a regular practice time 4 to 5 times a week, even if it is only a few minutes at a time; but, hopefully, we can find music that they like to sit down and play. Every week (or every lesson) the student will receive a sheet called Lesson Notes, which will account for the concepts and music covered in our lesson.I recommend that each student record lessons if possible for retention of technical tools covered. Listening to the lesson afterward will help the student better understand the concepts he/she is learning. I recommendpracticing a minimum of 30 minutes each day. This is very important for our learning time to be effective and comprehensive. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
