Instruments: Piano Guitar Voice Ukulele Keyboard Acoustic Guitar

For piano I prefer Faber Piano Adventures and have different books I would recommend starting with depending on the students age and experience. For guitar and ukulele I prefer using the Hal Leonard method books. I often supplement these method books with outside sources and pieces as is appropriate for the student. For singing students, I have a wide variety of books and resources depending on the musical style. I come from a classical voice background, so when students are middle school age and older (sometimes earlier) we begin learning Italian Art songs in addition to musical theater pieces and English folk songs. Instruments: Voice

My teaching style is a light. I need a student to be in a positive mood in order to have a good voice. In each lesson I inspire the student, I give them the opportunity to sing what they want. I give instructions about what can help to put the voice in right position and to singing freely. The most basic task is to explain how the throat is working and how to breath correctly during singing. Read More

Instruments: Voice

My teaching experience has been ongoing in the last 10 years. Mostly, people have heard me sing or attended one of my performances and from that moment on mostly the parents have approached me to become a vocal for their children or themselves. If a student is not having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! My students will be encouraged to compose their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn and step outside of the box. Read More

Instruments: Piano Voice

I have been playing the piano almost all my life. The passion I have for music of all kinds is contagious. My parents were opera singers, I grew up in a Latin American setting, and I performed with a symphony orchestra at the age of 13. I have taught piano to students of all levels and ages. I love to share with my students the marvels that are found in music, from the composers to their individual styles, to enjoying improvisation and multi-piano/hands arrangements. Read More
