I make sure my students have a strong foundation, which means I start with classical training. I work on the basics such as posture, articulation, breath-support, vowel shapes, and rhythm. Once they have a strong basis, I move to modern and musical theatre if they desire it. My recent professional theater credits include: GYPSY (Louise) at The Covedale Center for the Arts (Nomination from The League of Cincinnati Theater for BEST ACTRESS), Title Role in MARY POPPINS at The Renaissance Theater, BRIGADOON (u/s Fiona) and THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at The Wick Theater, and Ensemble roles in SOME PEOPLE HEAR THUNDER (The Capital Repertory Theater) and MAMMA MIA (Theatre Aspen). Building range slowly and carefully while building stamina through exercises and pieces that will help the individual voice grow.
