I work with the student and their needs. I don't want to jump too far ahead or go to slow , so I work with the student and figure out their speed to determine where we go each and every lesson. I believe in being honest with how you are feeling in that moment and encourage my students to utile those emotions for singing. I began teaching private lessons while I was at Carnegie Mellon University. I teach my students how to make sound and to breathe correctly. By teaching a healthy way of singing, students are less likely to damage their vocal chords later on in life. Regular practice on a consistent schedule will help the student to progress and therefore allow them to move on to more challenging music. I like to give a basis of classical music and classical voice technique which the student can then use for whichever genre they prefer to sing. Read More
