I am a dedicated teacher who enjoys working with students of all levels. I graduated from the Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford in 2013 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. The operatic roles that I performed while at the Hartt School include Leila in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe and The Strawberry Woman in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. I love seeing my students develop a passion for music! That is why I make sure each student progresses at their own pace by setting realistic goals for each lesson. I always acknowledge a student when they practice very hard and ask great questions. I began teaching music in public schools in 2011, while still performing on the side in choirs, a cappella groups, and theatre ensembles. As a singer, I have made it a point to sing in as many styles as possible - I have performed in classical choirs, jazz ensembles, contemporary (pop) a cappella groups, and even a salsa orchestra. I make sure the music is appropiate for the age and level of each student.
