I was born and raised in Australia. I graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2000, and have since performed in a number of musicals and theatre productions in Oz, including Oklahoma, Les Miserables and The Vagina Monologues (2007 ITA Best Actress Award). As a critically acclaimed cabaret performer, I toured the cabaret and festival circuits in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth before moving to NYC last year. I am an Alumni of the International Cabaret Conference at Yale, won last year’s Annual Broadway Spring Festival Shana Farr Cabaret Competition and have since performed solo cabarets at the Metropolitan Room and The Duplex. A warm up I use to take care of this issue is asking the student to make a fire siren noise and I go up an octave (ex. do-do, re-re,mi-mi). In an adult I will ask the student to yawn (lifting the soft palate) and sigh at the same time. This is a very simple correction to make in students of all ages. The important thing is to create a nurturing environment in which a student will best understand what I am teaching them. Read More

Learning. It has to be fun. Case in point: I usually select repertoire’ that is conducive to the students learning but often out of their safety zone. The student usually responds quite favorably to new genre’, but if they don’t, we move on to another song that won’t just help them learn, but will be fun or enjoyable for them to learn. Enjoy the process and the learning will happen organically. Read More

In the past, I have taught a couple of students who were beginners. One student was not American, and I had to teach her proper English pronunciation, while teaching her vocal technique. She was a hard worker, and came prepared the next week. Therefore, I could work at a faster level with her, then could I with another student who was progressing more slowly. If I can make a difference by teaching, in vocal technique, but also in the love of music, having fun, and finding and tapping into the creative part of my students, then I did my job. Read More

Although I am strict and demanding, I am a very positive and encouraging teacher. I wan to be inspiring, but also help the student to become self disciplined. I think self discipline is one of the most important thing when it comes to career and achievements. I also try to higher their expectations and push them to be more ambitious and more confident about their capability and skills. Read More

Music and performance was always my passion. In 2014 I graduated from Newpark Music Center (Dublin, Ireland). In that year I performed together with my septet in music venues in Dublin. Before that I performed all over Israel with various projects and bands. I love sharing my knowledge of music and voice technique and have been teaching privately in the past 6 years. Read More
