I am a passionate artist and teacher who loves working with students and helping them become the best musicians they can be! I graduated from Oklahoma City Universitys Wanda L. Bass School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre and a Bachelor of Music in Opera Vocal Performance. I have studied voice, music theory, piano and vocal pedagogy extensively. I enjoy helping my students reach their musical goals by selecting repertoires that appeal to them while also helping to address and resolve their technical deficiencies. For my beginning piano students, I typically start with Faber's Piano Adventures. For young singers, I use the Kodaly Method as a way of developing musical skills and teaching musical concepts. With piano students I enjoy using John Thompson and Alfred methods for beginners and I choose different songs as students get more experience. I am at home in many venues, whether it is the concert hall, the intimate setting of the recital platform, or on the operatic stage. I have performed over one hundred different roles at the Metropolitan Opera and am heard often on the "Live from the Met" Sirius Saturday afternoon radio broadcasts, as well as televised performances from the stage of the opera house.
