I started teaching voice while at Purchase College and then focused on performing and writing, and came back to teaching last year. I use the techniques I've learned from my vocal teachers along the way, as long as my own ideas and perspectives on healthy, correct ways to sing your best. I will give the student homework each week in order to make sure they are practicing so they may progress in their studies. I will teach, along with vocal technique, basic piano skills and ear training skills that will be pertinent to those beginner and intermediate aspiring, professional vocalists. I can teach classical music and technicality, to jazz songs and improvisation, to songwriting and pop/folk oriented style of playing.
