I am an experienced teacher, performer, and coach for all types of vocal music. In May 2015, I completed my Masters of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music. I have experience performing both operatic and musical theater roles; recently, I have been performing as a concert soloist with orchestras around the Denver area. My teaching experience began in 2008, when I began teaching private lessons on various instruments, on voice, and on conducting. I later went on to teach band and choir at Cedar Bluff High School in 2011. After this, I volunteered as the band director at Valley Head High School in 2014. I have enjoyed every moment of teaching music and have taken so much from the experiences that I've had. In my piano classes I use the Bastien piano method beginning at the primer level for the children. If they have had previous lessons, I am more than willing to continue with their current method. For adult piano students I use the Older Beginner Piano Course by Bastien. Again, if they wish to continue with previously studied materials, I am more than happy to comply with that. However I am strict in making sure that all my students understand the fundamentals of music. I began teaching music at the age of 15, primarily guitar and piano lessons for beginners ages 7-14 in my hometown of Parker, CO. At 16 I began teaching my students basic music theory and intermediate instrumental instruction. I moved to Boston in 2012 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music in Boston, still actively teaching throughout my curriculum.
