I graduated with a BA in music from Saint Joseph's College. I studied both choral and instrumental education. I did not work towards becoming a teacher because I want to work in more non-traditional education settings (sacred music, worship teams, private lessons). I'm working on my masters in organizational leadership because I'm hoping to work with church musicians on weekends and have a management style job during the week. I always figure out where a student is at, and prefer to grow off the student's strengths as opposed to harping on their weaknesses. I have been in lessons before where teachers couldn't get past the smallest details, and these ruined the experience for me, as well as greatly affected what I was able to accomplish in my lessons.
