As I previously mentioned above,I show each student as much as they can pick up.I can show a student just about anything they want to learn, but its really about how much they practice at home that determines their ability. If the student practices a lot we move much quicker and it becomes more fun and challenging.Music is endless and you can never stop learning.they are proving more and more every day how music affects your brain. When you just listen to music, you use every part of your brain.Few things do that. When you play music you are using even more of your brain. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time. I have been consistently teaching students since 2018. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

I began teaching voice over 5 years ago and have maintained a studio of singers varying in vocal style, age, and skill level. Each one has brought new challenges to me as a teacher and helped me home in on my teaching style and methods. If my students don't feel encouraged, practice on their own, or aren't having fun in lessons then I am not doing my job correctly! I love when students find songs they are passionate about singing and working on them together to make them the best possible product to present. Read More

I look to find what inspires the student naturally, while striving to open the student's mind to new styles through understanding new patterns. I set tangible goals that help the student measure their success; I make sure the goals are both realistic for their pace and also pushing them to their fullest extent. I also provide reinforcement of successes and accomplishments because I know this is valuable for a student to flourish and move forward confidently. Read More

As I mentioned, I'm a cheerleader at heart, and I love to make my students laugh and feel good about their singing. I have been in situations myself as a voice student when I was made to feel self-conscious by my teacher or had even been close to tears in my discouragement over not understanding an instruction. No one should ever feel like, especially when doing something as vulnerable as singing. Read More
