I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music in the U.S.A. I've performed in school, festivals, art walks, solo, duo and trio. I've also performed in a band and orchestra. I graduated from Temple University in 2011 with my Bachelor's degree in Music Education.  I was a saxophone major, but I have also studied piano since the age of three.  I enjoy performing in musical pits, which is where I picked up the flute and the clarinet.  I am currently a choral teacher at the high school level, but I have previously taught in a K-8 school, as well as several years in a daycare setting with very young students. I am a musician, composer, teacher and author. I graduated from the NYC "Fame School"- Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS of Music and Art. I studied music theory and composition at Mannes Conservatory, NYC and received a BA as a Music Major from Aaron Copland School of Music/Queens College/CUNY. I took Graduate courses studying Special Ed/Music Therapy at Lehman College, NY. Once my student is able to grasp basic fundamentals and a healthy proper tone and technique, I will then be able to incorporate solo repertoire for future recitals and contests. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I believe that each students is at a different level so you have to tailor everything based on that. I believe that reading music is extremly important in the development of singing as well as enjoying music. I believe that each student should know key signatures as well as what notes are on and off the staff. For all students I focus on the following: Breath, Correct Vowel Placement. I believe that if you have solid breath foundations then you can produce purer vowels and in turn if you have purer vowels then you have longer lasting and easier breath production. Read More
