In 2012, I had the chance to attended the yearly Summer Berklee Program, which takes place in Perugia (Italy) during the Umbria Jazz festival and I won a scholarship for the yearly Berklee Summer Camp. A year later I attended the Five-Week program at Berklee, Boston and got another scholarship that allowed me to enroll at Berklee College of Music in 2014 as an undergraduate student. I love seeing my students develop a passion for music! That is why I make sure each student progresses at their own pace by setting realistic goals for each lesson. I always acknowledge a student when they practice very hard and ask great questions. I believe in allowing each student to decide their level of engagement with music. While some prefer to simply learn the basics of an instrument, others want to delve into more in-depth musical concepts and theory, and no one approach in more relevant than another. I look to show beginning or growing musicians the feeling of accomplishment that learning a new piece of music provides. Through exploring the songs and music that a student is most engaged with, as well as classics in a variety of genres, students gain a sense of how theory and/or techniques craft the music they love and know and that they, too, can create music that might one day be studied by future students.
