I am a passionate and dedicated instructor who loves working with students of any age and interest. In 2013, I graduated from Lawrence University with a Bachleor of Music in Double Bass Performance (with a Jazz Emphasis). While at Lawrence I studied bass with Mark Urness, jazz improvisation with Bill Carrothers and Jose Encarnacion, and compostition with Fred Sturm. In 2011, I spent a semester at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I studied with Dutch bassist Frans van der Hoeven and bass guitar with Lene Te Voortwis. Read More

I am a versatile performer who graduated from The University of Denver in 2008 and have toured the midwest with a rock band. I taught guitar with Musika from 2009 to 2011. I look forward to teaching my students even more about the vast knowledge I have accrued both in performance and teaching. In essence, my love of teaching stems from my Mom's love of teaching. She sincerely desired to teach my siblings and myself to pursue our highest dreams. It turned out that I did succeed as a star performer in music, on stages around the world. But also, when I decided to settle down, I added education to my 10-year plan.
