Originally from Anaheim, CA, I've been living in New York City for the past six years while completing my Bachelor and Master's degrees at The Juilliard School. I love exploring new creative ways to use the cello, and have taken influences from all sorts of musical genres, from pop to EDM to bluegrass. Bach was a household icon for my family during my childhood. Every March we hosted Bach Birthday Parties and I was raised with a love of music. Although Id studied piano since age five, at times without much enthusiasm, everything changed when I reached age eleven and met my first cello. From the start, I knew Id found my medium in life. I don't have a singular method because every student is different. At the beginning of my lessons with a new student we will begin getting to know each other. Then we try different things. Some students are naturals at imitating what they hear, so we play to those strengths. Other students are more comfortable with structure and math, so we take that route instead.
