I have been teaching for over 10 years. I have experience teaching students of all levels and ages. I have taught for a number of institutions in the New York City metro-area, including The Harmony Program, Tone Academy of Music, Hunter Elementary Music School, MusicWise, Silver Music School, Brooklyn Conservatory and I currently hold a private studio at my home and travel to my students homes. After each lesson, I wrote down their homework, and if a parent is there, I go over their progress. If it's an adult student, I obviously don't have to do that, but I enjoy all ages, and have students 4-82 currently! I even go to teach my 82 year old student, at her assisted living place! For beginning students who are children, for the first lesson i usually ask them to play whatever they have in hand then base on the standard to assign basic practice from the Suzuki cello books. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I adjust all curriculum based on the needs of their students, in order to play up their strengths and address their flaws.
